What!! I'm Being Transferred To RIPAS..!?!?!

For those of you who don't already know, RIPAS is the government hospital here in Brunei. It is also the one place which I've heard just too many horror nightmare stories that go on in the labour room...and these are stories from over 20 years back even!

So basically it's just been a place that I prefer not to go and so that's why for my last two deliveries we've always gone to JPMC.

But this time was different. Because I was only 35 weeks, the doctor was afraid my pre-mature baby might need to be in intensive care. I was still having contractions! The funny thing about JPMC is that they do have a small intensive care unit for babies but they do not have respiratory breathing machines for babies. I think they only have that glass incubator thing. So, if babies, in emergency case, need oxygen, they have to rush the baby by ambulance to RIPAS to get the specialised care that the baby would need.
Since rushing the baby over from one hospital to another did not sound like the ideal situation we would want to be in we were advised to just have the baby in RIPAS.

So here I am in the ambulance taking a few shots thinking 'The boys would love to see the inside of this ambulance..'

I'm just sooo glad I managed to get a pedicure before this day.... phew! LOL
